A tax warrant has been issued for failing to pay state taxes and this information is sent to us from the State of Indiana. If you are going to pay the amount owed, it needs to be paid using cash, a money order or a certified check made payable to the Sheriff of Montgomery County. You can make a payment with your credit card online at INDIANATAXWARRANTS.COM. We will not accept a personal or business check. If you have questions concerning your taxes or disagree with the amount owed, contact the Indiana Department of Revenue at 765-448-6626 or at 317-232-2165. If you wish to set up a payment schedule, you need to contact the Sheriff's Clerk, Vanessa Bowling, at 765-362-3740, ext. 216. Payments are accepted in person at the sheriff's office between the hours of 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
